Djembe Drums

The Djembe drums that we have for sale are the same type and quality as the ones that we use in our workshops and circles; those of you who have used them will have already experienced their excellent sound and quality.

These beautiful drums are from Ghana.  They are made from local cedar, which is plentiful and fast growing, being so much gentler on the environment than the hardwood drums produced elsewhere in West Africa.  They are light enough to carry fairly easily, have a beautiful deep bass and produce an amazing sound.  Our supplier works a fair-trade policy in partnership with two Ghanaian brothers who are professional drummers and carvers.  All their drums are of the highest quality, with no cracks, filled holes, or patched skins.
